Global Game Jam Ends: Play Thousands Of Free New Games

It’s that time of the year again; the annual Global Game Jam came to an end last Sunday, bringing with it thousands of free games for you to sink your teeth into. All made within 48 hours, More than 23,000 participants across 72 countries lost countless hours of sleep producing  titles that range all across the indie-spectrum; from  ambitious 3D games to the dinky 2D side scrollers, everyone was creating in full force.

Starting in 2009, Global Game Jam has offered developers and artists of all experience levels the chance to power build an indie game in two days. Since its creation, GGJ has become the largest worldwide game jam, bringing with it thousands of new games and giving game creators the chance to meet new people, learn new skills and be seen by the world.

You can check out all the games and developers on the GGJ website in an organized, searchable database. Most games are currently downloadable, or playable via the unity web player or the developers websites. The jam may be over, but its spirit lives on until next year.
