FPS Creator Reloaded adds Oculus Rift Support

Today’s new Reloaded Beta launch sees the Oculus Rift device as an integral part of FPS Creator Reloaded. With a copy of FPS Creator Reloaded and an Oculus Rift headset users can create their own game worlds and explore them immediately in full immersive Virtual Reality.

Any game made in FPS Creator Reloaded can be saved out as a standalone executable and then, combined with the Oculus Rift headset, you can experience what you’ve made in glorious stereoscopic. The scene pops out at you in the Rift and brings you closer and more personal to the action.

Oculus Rift users are no longer restricted by what other developers are creating. “Ever since the Oculus Rift was announced we knew it would be a great companion to FPS Creator Reloaded. Gamers will have loads of fun creating levels and exploring them with the Oculus Rift.” said Rick Vanner, Development Director at The Game Creators.

Development of FPS Creator Reloaded continues apace. Along with Oculus Rift support the new BETA V1.005 includes many new features including Saving standalone games, improved AI, 3D editing mode, player controls, blood and damage indicators, flash light and many smaller fixes and improvements.

Creating games within your own virtual reality is like nothing you’ll have experienced before. The sense of immersion you get from the Oculus Rift is unbelievable” commented Lee Bamber, CEO and lead developer.

Edge of Reality’s Loadout Available Today

The Outrageous and Addictive free-to-play shooter with wildly customizable weapons.

Edge of Reality has announced their Free-to-Play online shooter Loadout will be available from 6pm GMT today on PC. After years of adjusting and perfecting Loadout’s innovative and acrobatic gameplay style, the Austin-based studio’s debut title is now officially available in the Steam Store.

“With Loadout, we offer players a genuinely fresh and gratifying alternative to everyday shooters,” said Rob Cohen, CEO of Edge of Reality.  “Allowing players to define their own class and play style with weaponcrafting took us somewhere truly special, and we can’t wait to see what players come up with.”

Loadout is a fast-paced shooter that distinguishes itself with an amazingly robust customisation system, super-fast action, and comedic violence. With over 44 billion possible combinations, players have the ability to assemble the weapon of their dreams. From Gatling guns to tesla bolts to remote-controlled missiles, if you can think it you can build it.

The team behind the game has worked on tremendously successful franchises such as Mass Effect, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, The Sims, and Dragon Age, and they’ve spent countless hours developing a game that’s so over the top it needs to be played to be believed. Characters hilariously lose limbs, expose vital organs, and inflict shocking and ridiculous wounds upon enemies. The more damage a character takes, the more devastated they will appear. Designed in a humorous, highly irreverent tone, Loadout is comic violence at its finest.

At its core, Loadout is all about total and uninhibited player expression. As players progress, they earn new weapon parts, equipment, and prestige. The more you play, the more you can customize. The range of possibilities in the chaotic and deranged world of Loadout is essentially endless.

Loadout is currently available on Steam for free.

Play Loadout now on the official game web site.

Prison Architect Alpha 17 Launches

Hoo-Rar. This time we’ve got bad ass mo-fos with boom sticks. You asked for them and we have answered the call and delivered shotgun-toting armed guards.

These guys are excellent for suppressing your prisoners more raucous behaviours.  Stick a couple of these dudes in the canteen or the yard and things’ll calm right down.  Useful they just wander around looking tough, but hit that weapons free button and things’ll get messy – you’ll lose so many prisoners that it’ll be a game-over event, but don’t let that stop you blowing off some steam.

We’ve also introduced smart highlighting in the object menu and introduced forestries so you can begin producing the raw materials for use in the workshops. As per usual there are a ton of bug fixes and the modding system continues to grow. Enjoy!

CipSoft releases new iPad Game: Armored Conflict

A conflict in the future. High-tech tanks are conquering the battlefield. As of today, Armored Conflict, the new Tank MOBA Game from the developer CipSoft gives you the chance to take on an important role in that conflict.

In Armored Conflict you can fight using a futuristic battle tank and team up with up to eight friends. You need to control strategic locations to achieve victory. As you’d expect from a MOBA game, each tank has individual and powerful skills to wipe out the enemy. Overall, you can choose between nine unique tanks with different functions on the battlefield.

“We’re proud of the release of Armored Conflict.” revealed Matthias Rudy, responsible Project Leader at CipSoft. “With only six months’ time and three core developers it was an ambitious project, but in the end it became a fun and deep game.”

“Making a mobile game for tablet devices only was a bold choice, but first numbers and download figures seem to prove it was a good one.” Rudy stated.

In the last days CipSoft released a small update, which should further improve the matchmaking of the game. The developer is now welcoming players to its new app which can be downloaded for free in the App store. Armored Conflict works with iPad 2, iPad mini or newer and requires iOS 6.0 or later. An android client is already in development.
